Daywise Tour Itinerary

Arrival – Paro airport and then transfer to Thimphu. Our pilgrimage begins with a journey towards east into the booming metropolis of Thimphu. Situated at an altitude of 2300m it is the home to 100,000 Bhutanese. Thimphu being the capital of Bhutan, offers unique opportunities to explore the Bhutanese culture, Lifestyle and traditional in depth. We invite you to see the sight of the kingdom’s capital with us. Below we have listed some of experiences that we enjoy the most! After Lunch We will spend our time circumambulating the sacred.

National Memorial Chorten – This is a Tibetan-style chorten built in 1974 in memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk who passed away in 1972. It is one of the most visible religious structures in town and for many people it is the focus of daily worship. Remember to walk around the chorten at least at least once to gain merit and good luck.

Buddha Dordenma Statue –This massive statue of Shakyamuni measures in at a height of 51.5m, making it one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world. The statue is made of bronze and is glided in gold. The Buddha Dordenma is located atop a hill in Kuenselphodrang Nature Park and overlooks the southern entrance to Thimphu valley. 

Tashichhoe Dzong – Towards evening we will visit Tashichhoe Dzong and have glimpse of King Jigme’s Palace. The Dzong is popularly known as Thimphu Dzong. It is the seat of the government and the center of all religious affairs of the kingdom. It houses the office and the throne room of His Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck. Just below the dzong we can have a glimpse of King Jigmi’s Palace. Evening leisure time in Thimphu city.

Dochula Pass After Breakfast we will drive (45mis) from Thimphu to Dochula Pass (3050mts.) During a clear day you will get a chance to see Himalayan mountain ranges of Bhutan. Enjoy a spectacular view highest mountain of Bhutan at a site that stretches almost 180 degrees. The beauty of this place is further enhanced by the Druk Wangyal Chortens – a 108 stupas built by the eldest Queen, Her Majesty Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, after a short tea break continue drive back to Thimphu. After lunch visit.

Simply Bhutan (Living Museum) – Simply Bhutan is an interactive 'living' museum that gives an introduction to various aspects of Bhutanese traditional life. Visitors get to learn how to distil arak, dress traditional attire, try out archery and hear songs sung by Bhutanese women as they build houses out of rammed earth. It's a good family experience. There are also souvenir shops and a snack bar.

Authentic Bhutanese Crafts Bazaar – Bhutan’s first ever craft Bazzar is now open in Bhutan’s capital Thimphu. A spectacle of traditional bamboo huts, aligned neatly below opposite Nehru Wangchuk Cultural Centre, showcase wide range of authentic Bhutan made art and craft product with reasonable prices. The products in its 80 stalls cover all aspect of traditional Bhutanese art and craft synergized for contemporary use and market needs. Visitor will find an interesting assortment of genuine Bhutanese handicrafts and textiles available for sale.

They Journey west takes us back to Paro valley following thru Wang Chhu and Pa Chhu rivers. Paro Cultural tour should always start with a casual browse through the:

National Museum Housed in the Ta Dzong (Watch Tower) of the Rinpung Dzong. In the Museum the intriguing collection of artifacts serves as a great introduction to the rich culture and Heritage of the Kingdom. The National Museum boasts a rich variety of exhibits collected from all over the country and belonging to different eras, some as early as 2000 B.C.A visit through the galleries shows the country’s transition the later stone Age to a modern Mahayana Buddhist Kingdom.

Paro Dzong – Take in the amazing architecture of this 17th century monument, a premier example of Bhutan’s architecture. Paro Dzong, built in 17th century to defend Paro from the Tibetan invasion, is also known as Rinpung Dzong, which means the ‘Fortress on a heap of Jewels’. This fine example of Bhutanese architecture now serves as a central monastic and administrative seat of the Paro district. From the Dzong, a leisurely walk back into Paro town crossed the scenic Nyamai Zampa, a unique model of Bhutan’s traditional cantilever bridge.

Taktsang (Tiger’s nest monastery) View Point Tiger’s Nest or Taktshang Goempa is one of Bhutan’s most revered monuments. It literally hangs off the face of a cliff 900 meters(2952feet) above the valley floor. The legend states that Guru Rinpoche flew in to Bhutan on a mythical tigress and meditated in a cave before bringing Buddhism to Bhutan. The Taktshang Goempa is built around the cave, which is opened to the public once a year at the end of August. The four-hour round-trip hike offers spectacular views of the Goempa and the valley below. Horses or mules can be arranged on request to help lighten the journey. 

Kyichu Lhakhang – The 7th century monastery is one of the oldest and most sacred temples in the kingdom where the seed of Buddhism was won in Bhutan. The Tibetan King, Songsten Gampo ordered the establishment of monasteries in the Himalayan region to subdue evil spirits and to spread Buddhism. Of the 108, which were to be built, two major ones were built in Bhutan namely the kyichu Lhakhang and Jampa Lhakhang in Bumthang. Kyichu Lhakhang, which pins down the left foot of a treacherous Ogress, is a great finish to this day of cultural immersion and your journey to this ancient kingdom of Bhutan. Travel Requirement

In order to proceed with arranging your journey through the kingdom of Bhutan, we kindly require the following:

  • An Original Passport / Voter card of those travelers (Note: All passengers are advised to check their passport validity which should not be less than 6 months from the date of travels.)
  • Children need to carry original Birth Certificate or Passport (Below 18Years).

  • Indicate if any special needs, including dietary or Physical needs.

Terms & Condition

No refund will be made for any unused accommodation, missed meals, transportation segments, sightseeing tours or any other service. Such unused items are neither refundable nor exchangeable. Room allocation is once done by the hotel depending upon availability at the time of check-in in the category of room as specified on your confirmation voucher. No refund shall be claimed, if the service & amenities of the hotels were not up to your expectations, it will be considered on case to case basis.

  • Full flight fare required to issue the flight tickets.
  • Advance 25% payment for 3* Package, 75% deposit for 4*package and 100 deposit for 5* package
  • Keeping in mind the closing day for sightseeing schedule/room availability itinerary can be changed without prior notice.
  • Some of the sightseeing points might get closed on particular days, therefore we reserve right to change the itinerary, however we will make sure everything is covered in the best possible way.
  • Please carry the identity proof along with 4 passport size photos per person so that it can produced if asked by hotel or Immigration officers.
  • Inner line permit required for Bhutan Tour. It is mentioned that guest should carry 04 copies of passport size photograph, original photo ID proof with photo copy (Identity Card - Voter card/Passport) for processing the permit. (All traveler including child - Birth Certificate.

Hotel Policy

Early Check-In or late check-out is subject to availability and the hotel may charge extra for the same. Extra bed rates would be charged after 2 full paying persons in a room. However, in case of an extra bed required in a single occupancy room, double room rates would be charged. The package does not include charges for optional services and facilities (such as room service, mini bar, snacks or telephone calls). These will be charged directly from the guest at the time of check-out from the respective hotels.
